A woman has been charged with stealing and fraud offences after elderly women were targeted in NSW's central west.

The 30-year-old allegedly stole items from shopping trolleys or took them from the back of toilet cubical doors in Dubbo, with most victims being elderly women, police say.

She was arrested in Wellington, charged with six steal from person offences and two associated fraud offences and was expected to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday.
