A teenager has been injured after he was struck with a machete during a home invasion in Sydney's west.
Police say three people entered a house in Bidwill about 4pm on Monday and threatened a 46-year-old man with a pistol, while the 16-year-old was assaulted with the machete.
Ambulance paramedics assessed the teenager on site for his arm wound as well as a suspected broken arm.
Five children in the house at the time were not hurt.
