A teenager has faced court after a pistol, cocaine, prescription drugs and cash were allegedly found in a search of his car in Sydney's west.
The car was searched after the driver, a 19-year-old man, nearly hit a police car on patrol in Granville as he emerged from a side street at about 7:40pm on Friday night, police say.
The South Granville man had pulled over and was walking away from the car when officers stopped him and inspected it, discovering a Glock pistol, drugs and almost $4500 in cash.
He faced Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday, via video link, over 10 charges, including possessing a loaded firearm in a public place and possessing a prohibited drug.
The 19-year-old did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
His matter has been adjourned to Parramatta Local Court on Thursday, where it was revealed in court he is expected to apply for bail.
