A former basketball coach has been charged with sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy in central western NSW.
Police received reports in March that the boy had been sexually abused by a man known to him on numerous occasions between June and September 2019.
Police will allege the 58-year-old man, who had been engaged to provide one-on-one basketball coaching to the boy, sexually touched him while performing massage treatment.
The Maitland man was arrested on May 25 and charged with two counts of aggravated sexually touching another person.
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Orange Local Court on Thursday.
