NSW Police raid Nine Network's A Current Affair office over 'personal matter'


Police have raided the Sydney offices of the Nine Network's A Current Affair program over a staff member's "personal matter".

7 News has been told A Current Affair reporter Ben McCormack will be charged with possessing child abuse material following the raids earlier today.

NSW Police said it conducted inquiries at the Willoughby office on Thursday morning.

"The investigation relates to a personal matter of an employee," it said in a statement.

A Nine Network spokesman said A Current Affair staff were helping police.

"The police are in the ACA offices doing an investigation and we are co-operating fully," he told AAP.

"The matter is a personal one and not related to a story or the program."
