NSW Police appeal for information on young missing sisters

NSW Police have issued a desperate public plea for assistance to help locate two girls who have been missing from the Parramatta area since last week.

Sisters, Britney and Shaneque Hunter, aged 14 and 11, were staying with Family and Community Service workers at a Parramatta motel.

The girls left on January 22 and failed to return.

“The pair have not been seen since and concerns are held for their welfare,” the NSW Police said as part of a statement released.

According to NSW Police, Britney and Shaneque, are believed to be somewhere in the Mt Druitt area.

There have been reports the girls were seen at a shopping centre on Church Street in Parramatta sometime last week.

“Both girls are described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, with brown hair, brown eyes and of slim build,” NSW Police said in a statement released.

Britney was last seen wearing a pink and white t-shirt and Shaneque was seen wearing a pink shirt.

Anyone with any information on the girls’ whereabouts is urged to contact Parramatta Local Area Command or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
