NSW'S LOCKDOWN ROADMAP: THE CHANGES

These apply to people who are fully vaccinated.

FROM OCTOBER 18 AFTER NSW HITS 80 PER CENT DOUBLE-DOSE COVERAGE:

* Indoor gatherings capped at 20 visitors (up from 10)

* Outdoor gatherings capped at 50 (up from 30)

* Weddings and funerals uncapped (up from 100)

* Standing up in pubs is back

* Dancing permitted indoors and outdoors at hospitality venues

* Community sport will resume

* Masks no longer required in offices

* Masks no longer required in outdoor settings (except for front-of-house hospitality staff)

* All premises will operate at one person per four sqm indoors and one person per two sqm outdoors.

FROM NOVEMBER 1

* Quarantine ends for fully vaccinated arrivals from overseas - who must have PCR test before flying

* Hotel quarantine remains for unvaccinated people, with 210 spots available a week.

* Fully vaccinated travellers already in quarantine will end their quarantine

* Unlimited travel throughout the state

* Booking caps for hospitality venues scrapped

FROM DECEMBER 1

* All the eased restrictions will be extended to unvaccinated people

* No limit on the number of visitors to a home

* No density limits for hospitality, retail, gyms

BACK-TO-SCHOOL PLAN:

* Kindergarten, Year One and Year 12 return on October 18

* All other years return on October 25
