NSW driver charged after cyclist dies

A man faces dangerous driving charges after a fatal crash involving a cyclist in the Blue Mountains.

Police arrested a 64-year-old driver on Sunday night following an incident on the Great Western Highway at Springwood about 2.30pm on Saturday in which a 45-year-old male cyclist was left in a critical condition and later died.

The man was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death and not driving in lane and was refused bail to appeal before Dubbo Local Court on Monday.
