A 37-year-old NSW high school teacher has been released on bail after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 17-year-old student.
The teacher was arrested on Thursday after a tip-off that a female student at a Southern Highlands school had been sexually assaulted in March 2017.
He was charged with sexual intercourse with a person under care, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault.
As part of the bail conditions imposed by Goulburn Local Court on Friday, he must report to a police station multiple times each week, he cannot enter the towns of Colo Vale or Hill Top or contact any prosecution witnesses.
He is expected before the same court again on September 12.
