Donald Fraser of New Glasgow, N.S., is celebrating a $225,000 win from playing the Mega 360 Scratch’N Win game in November 2024. For Fraser, this money is more than just a financial boost — it’s also a chance to cross some travel destinations off his bucket list.

First on the itinerary? Treating his wife to her dream vacation and in turn fulfilling her lifelong dream.

“My wife really wants to go to Scotland, she has all her life,” said Fraser. “I’ve always really wanted to see New Zealand, so I would like to go there.”

But the prize doesn’t stop at travel plans. Fraser also intends to use his winnings to help his children and support charities close to his heart.

The Mega 360 Scratch’N Win game, offered by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation, is a first-of-its-kind scratch, watch, and spin experience with big prizes up to $500,000.

The game offers players a unique experience: players can scratch their ticket at retail or play digitally at alc.ca, for a chance to win between $5 and $100,000. Those who unlock the “spin” feature get to watch an animated wheel reveal prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000.

However, there's also the chance for a spin to land on the "Mega 360," which offers an exclusive opportunity to play the big wheel at Atlantic Lottery’s headquarters in Moncton, N.B., to win between $100,000 and $500,000.

“I had won a spin on the ticket, so I scanned it with the Atlantic Lottery app, threw my phone on the couch and went about my business,” said Fraser. “I came back after a while and it said, ‘Major Win,’ so, I thought I must have won $1000 or something."

For Fraser, the magnitude of his life-changing moment didn’t hit right away. Instead, he would go on to spin the Mega 360 wheel in Moncton, and win $225,000 — a moment Fraser describes as surreal.

“$100,000 is a lot of money, anything more than that is just gravy,” said Fraser. “This is going to give us a lot of fun money for me and my family.”
