Nottingham: Men charged after city centre knife confrontation

Two men have been charged after large knives were wielded during a confrontation in Nottingham city centre.

Nottinghamshire Police officers were called to Weekday Cross at about 12:30 GMT on 31 January.

No injuries have been reported, the force added.

Jordan Bazuna and Jack Bolton, both 18, have been charged with affray and threatening a person with a blade in a public place.

Mr Bazuna, of Constance Street, New Basford, and Mr Bolton, of Parkdale Road, Bakersfield, have been remanded into custody and will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court later.

Two 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy who were arrested have been released on conditional police bail while inquiries continue.
