'Not happy': Coles shopper's fury over messy surprise on front porch

A Coles shopper woke to a messy surprise on her front porch this week after something went wrong during her groceries’ journey to her home.

Among the items she ordered to have delivered from the Eden Rise store in Berwick, Melbourne, were two large bottles of milk - one that didn’t quite survive its commute.

About a quarter of the bottle made for a tough clean-up job following the drop-off on Wednesday morning.

“Really not happy about this morning’s delivery,” the customer wrote to the supermarket’s Facebook page.

“Spent an hour cleaning milk from outside my front door and inside front door and off vegetables and fruit saturated with two bags full of milk.”

She explained it was just her second time using the Coles delivery service, with her first order not quite going as expected either.

“This is my second order and my first one had missing items. Safe to say highly doubt I will be using this service again,” she wrote.

The retailer responded to the complaint in a comment to her post, saying it was “disappointed” to hear of the woman’s experience, with an employee requesting further information.

In an additional comment, the shopper explained she had since spoken with a representative who offered her a store credit.
