'Looks like a Lego character': Police mocked for suspect sketch

Police are being mocked for issuing a computer-generated image of a suspect who “looks like a Lego character”.

A man is being sought after it’s alleged he robbed a woman in Northampton, in England’s East Midlands, on the afternoon of April 16.

It is alleged he knocked on the door and told the woman there were sewerage issues in the area and he needed to check her pipes.

While she was in the backyard speaking with another man the suspect allegedly stole cash from her home.

A computer-generated image of the man was issued by Northamptonshire Police.

But it is being widely ridiculed, leaving people in hysterics with the post shared more than 2100 times.

“This breaks my heart, he was my favourite Lego of all time,” one woman wrote.

Another suggested he was last seen in the video game, Minecraft, while others joked the image looked like a character from The Sims.

“Photoshop guy is definitely on vacation and someone said, ‘I got this’,” another man wrote.

Northamptonshire Police was also mocked in January over two more questionable composite images.

In New York, it was recently revealed police used a photo of actor Woody Harrelson to help nab a beer thief.

In October, police in the US released CCTV images of a man who looked like rapper Emimem in relation to a trespassing incident much to the delight of the internet.
