‘No one speaks!’ Love Island’s Ekin-Su says the contestants’ What’s App group is dead
Ekin-Su CülcüloÄlu has revealed that the Love Island contestants’ WhatsApp group chat is inactive just three months after the show.
Ekin-Su, who won the 2022 series alongside boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, said these days the contestants are a far cry from being the buzzing, chatty group they were in the villa.
“There’s still one Islander [WhatsApp] chat I’m in and no-one speaks on it,” she said.
“The last time everyone had a proper chat was two months ago...
“Everyone’s so busy and has their own relationships to focus on.”
However, although the 28-year-old is no longer in touch with most of the group, she still reaches out to a couple.
“I message Gemma and Tasha individually,” she admitted to Heat magazine.
Ekin-Su spilled the beans after it was announced that she and Davide have filmed a travel show where they visited their home countries, Turkey and Italy, to experience the different cultures together.
She said of ITV’s Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings: “The most challenging moment was that everything was filmed.
"We wanted it to be as real as possible and there are moments you will see where we bicker and argue, but all couples go through that.
"If we wanted privacy, we couldn’t, because it’s a reality show at the end of the day."
Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings will hit screens on ITV2 on Monday, November 28 and Tuesday, November 29, at 9 pm
