A group of nine people have faced Toowoomba Magistrates Court after being charged with the murder of a woman in a unit earlier this month.
The six women and three men, aged between 23 and 34, faced court on Thursday afternoon after being charged with the murder of 37-year-old Debbie Combarngo on May 6.
Ms Combarngo had been visiting the unit in Wilsonton when she was stabbed in the chest in an alleged group attack.
Despite being taken to hospital, Ms Combarngo later died from her injuries.
The group of people were initially charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count each of enter dwelling with intent in company.
But detectives added murder charges on Thursday.
As well as being stabbed, it's alleged Ms Combarngo was hit with various items including a golf club, hammer and metal bars during the attack.
Police are investigating whether Ms Combargno's death was part of a revenge plot following the unexpected death of extended family member Mikey Hall last month.
The nine accused are Lynn Anderson, 25, Shiralee Fernando, 29, Ashley Fing, 25, Rhianna Fing, 29, Ty Fing, 23, Christine Hall, 34, Jana Hall, 28, Rhonda Hall, 29, Joshua Lingwoodock, 32.
