Nina Dobrev gave her fans quite the fright when photos and a video were shared online of the Vampire Diaries star in a hospital bed.

Now she is clearing the air about the overnight hospital stay after her friend, Julianne Hough, posted about it on Sunday.

Julianne had taken to her Instagram stories that evening to document a trip to the emergency room and asked her followers to guess who she was with. Soon, she revealed that it was Nina who was admitted.

“Thank god I went to visit this little sheesh!” Julianne wrote on one of the since-deleted clips, according to People.

Although the 31-year-old dancer and actress was able to make sure that her friend was taken care of, fans quickly expressed concern about Nina’s condition after seeing that she was wearing an oxygen mask.

Nina then took to her own social media to mollify those concerns and explained that she had had an allergic reaction.

“A lot of people have expressed concern after seeing Julianne’s story. I’m okay,” the 30-year-old wrote on her Instagram story.

“It’s pretty routine/has happened to me quite a few times because I have a lot of allergies.”

Nina didn’t clarify just what caused the allergic reaction but included more photos of herself to further explain what can sometimes happen depending on what she’s reacting to.

“Depending on the severity I sometimes go into anaphylactic shock as a result,” she wrote.

“But Jules was with me and the doctors at Cedars [Sinai] were AMAZING so back at home now, and I’m OK.”

She followed up with a boomerang from her own bed on Monday night after being released from the hospital.

“Back at home. Swelling is basically gone. We’re all good over here,” she wrote. “Love ya Jules. Thanks for being mom...again.”
