He added the hashtags “'thrilled #soinlove #grateful and #incrediblemumma" but didn't share any further details such as the baby's gender or name.

Earlier this week Frost, 49, had teased that he might have some big news.

Then two days later he shared a snap that seemed to show him in a hospital and told his 548,000 followers on the platform: “It begins…”

The star welcomed a son with his ex-wife in 2011. He became a father for the second time in 2018 when he and his girlfriend had a baby together.

Frost was inundated with messages of congratulations from his famous friends after he shared his baby news.

Sexy Beast star Ray Winstone wrote: “Congratulations my man. Big love to you all.”

"This is brilliant and beautiful," said Sherlock star Amanda Abbington. "Congratulations to all of you. Love you all.”
