When Is The Next US Presidential Debate And What Time Does It Start In Australia?

The next US presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden will take place in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday night in the US, or Friday morning and early afternoon in Australia.

After a rowdy first debate President Trump and Democratic challenger Biden have been told they will have their microphones muted while their rival delivers their opening two-minute answer to each of the debate topics.

Trump backed out of a second scheduled debate over a disagreement about the virtual format following his coronavirus infection. At that time, he raised concerns about having his microphone muted.

“President Trump is committed to debating Joe Biden regardless of last-minute rule changes from the biased commission in their latest attempt to provide advantage to their favoured candidate,” Trump’s campaign manager Bill Stepien said.

The 90-minute showdown is divided into six 15-minute segments, with each candidate granted two minutes to deliver uninterrupted remarks before proceeding to an open debate.
