New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English has confirmed he'll fly to Queenstown this week for a meeting with top officials from the countries that make up the Five Eyes spy network.
They're holding a conference there and FBI director James Comey is known to have arrived.
CIA director Mike Pompeo is reported to be attending as well.
"I can confirm that it's Five Eyes," Mr English said at his post-cabinet press conference on Monday.
"It's just part of the regular cycle of conferences held by the people we work with most closely on security."
The intelligence-sharing network includes the US, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Mr English wouldn't go into details about his meeting or the conference, other than saying "all the current issues" would be up for discussion.
Chris Finlayson, the minister responsible for the SIS and the GCSB, is attending the conference.
