New venues under Covid alert as virus spreads outside of Sydney

Two churches and several shopping centres are the among the latest venues to be exposed to Covid-19, as the virus spreads south of Sydney.

Three cases were recorded in the reporting period to 8pm on Monday night - all linked to the Northern Beaches cluster.

However Premier Gladys Berejiklian told reporters on Tuesday a case has since been located in Wollongong.

“I am not ruling out they are linked to the Avalon cluster, the case from Wollongong had been in Sydney, but until those links are established all of us in Greater Sydney must be on high alert,” she said.
