New development after 'serious concerns' held over missing real estate agent

The 28-year-old from Ray White Narrabeen has not been seen since February 1.

The search for a missing Sydney woman has taken a turn more than a week after the 28-year-old’s disappearance.

Leesa Forrest was last seen on February 1 at her workplace at Ray White in Narrabeen on the Northern Beaches.

Since then her sister Lauren Forrest says she’s heard nothing and earlier this week took to Facebook to issue a desperate plea for help.

“No word, phone off, hasn’t been home.. Hasn’t been to work,” she wrote online. “Report filed.”

She urged anyone who may have spotted Leesa, who lives in Newport, to get in touch.

“If anyone has seen, spoken to, walked past, driven past Leesa, anything... Can you please contact me!” Lauren said. “Please keep eyes open.”

Responding to worried friends online, Lauren added that her sister “just needs to contact someone outta the family to let us know she’s ok, not in trouble.”

Police redirect search as concerns continue

On Thursday NSW police revealed their search for Leesa had moved north.

“We’re redirecting the search to the Mid North Coast,” a spokesperson told Yahoo News Australia on Thursday afternoon.

It comes a day after an appeal for public assistance was launched to help find the young woman who police say was last contacted about 12.30pm on February 1.

“After she was unable to be contacted or located, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts,” they said in a statement.

“Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare as her disappearance is out of character.”

Leesa is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a slim build and blonde hair. It is believed she may be driving a white Holden Cruze with NSW plates BJ-58-QQ.

Police also say she is known to frequent Newport and Narrabeen.

Described on Ray White’s website as a born and raised Narrabeen local, the company praised Leesa for her “open and honest” communication and “friendly professional demeanour.”

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
