Netflix star Noah Centineo reveals favourite Tim Hortons Timbit flavour, praises 'The Recruit' Canadian crew
"I would buy hundreds of them every week and just bring them to set," Centineo said
Actor Noah Centineo has spent almost two years of his life filming in Canada, including projects like To All the Boys I've Loved Before and The Recruit, in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto. But on a recent trip to Toronto after the release of The Recruit Season 2 on Netflix, Centineo revealed where he stands on one of the most Canadian debates: Which Tim Hortons Timbit is the best flavour?
For the famed actor, the chocolate Timbit is the superior choice. He also admitted he bought "hundreds" of the famous Canadian treat while filming The Recruit.
"I would buy hundreds of them every week and just bring them to set, I would have at least 100 myself," Centineo told Yahoo Canada. "They're so good."
While Centineo had a very Toronto day meeting fans, eating Timbits and going to a Raptors game on Jan. 31 — even though he admitted he was rooting for the Chicago Bulls — he also highlighted how "phenomenal" the Canadians crews have been on the projects he's worked on in the country.
"People are really willing to work," he said. "From my knowledge, there's a younger crowd that's really taken to the industry. ... Hopefully those people ... carry on the ethos and culture [that's been] created."

Centineo also created excitement last month when he made an appearance on XO, Kitty, the spinoff of To All the Boys I've Loved Before, starring Canadian Anna Cathcart. Following the big reveal on the show, Cathcart has frequently spoken about how she's "looked up" to Centineo and has learned so much from him for many years.
"It's lovely to hear that," Centineo said.
"When we met on To All the Boys ... [she was] a beautiful, wonderful, professional, charismatic, energetic, vibrant person. It's lovely to hear that she feels that way, but she's been phenomenal from the jump. She's so special as a person and being able to kind of witness her grow up and get that spin off that she deserves, ... it's not easy. It's a lot of responsibility. It's a lot of hard work. It's a lot of preparation and she deserves it, she deserves it so much. ... She's a queen. She's royalty. I love her so much."
But could Centineo come back to the rom-com genre in a bigger capacity? The 28-year-old caused quite a stir when he told People he wants to do a rom-com before he turns 30, an exciting possibility for his fans.
When asked what a rom-com would have to be like for him to take on the project, Centineo said it will come down to something that's "smart" and feels like the rom-coms from the 1980s and 1990s.
"It's got to have a magic to it that [Matthew] McConaughey brought and Kate Hudson brought, and Jennifer Garner brought, and John Cusack," Centineo explained.
"Serendipity, High Fidelity, Say Anything, 13 Going on 30, these just brilliant, lovely, feel good movies that were smart. Or even something like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, there's so much in that movie. So I think, for me, I've not seen something that feels like that. So I don't know, but it would be nice to find something that's as exciting, engaging, vulnerable and honest and as brutal as those movies."
