A woman has told a court how a notorious NSW prisoner destroyed her childhood and turned into her family’s nightmare after they moved onto his street on the Central Coast when she was 13.
Her former neighbour, who was jailed last year for raping and torturing a string of female partners, faced a NSW District Court sentence hearing on Thursday after pleading guilty to more abuse against child victims.
In a victim impact statement read to the court, the woman said the now 54-year-old man first sexually assaulted her within months of her moving nearby.
