'Neighbour from hell': Shock discovery after woman spots gap in fence

When the woman noticed a gap in her fence she was shocked to discover where the fence panels were.

A woman's confusion after spotting something missing from her garden quickly turned to fury after taking a look into her neighbour's backyard.

Emma Disbury was washing her dishes this week and gazing out her kitchen window when she noticed a gap in her fence. After closer inspection, with a video camera in hand, she found several palings missing, leaving an opening into her neighbour's yard.

That's when she noticed some of the fence panels lying in mess of ashes in a large bonfire next door.

"Oh look, there's the remnants of it in my next door neighbour's garden," she announced out loud to the camera.

"Thanks very much Russell," she said sarcastically.

Raising the bar for neighbourly disputes

The woman claims this is the second time an incident like this has occurred and described her next door neighbour Russell as a "neighbour from hell".

People on social media responded to her discovery, bemused the neighbour would have the audacity to burn parts of the fence that seperate the two properties.

"Russell sounds a real treat," one wrote.

"This is criminal damage. Just call the police," another said.

People were also concerned that the neighbour could now gain access to Ms Disbury's yard and she replied saying she was worried for her family's safety due to the neighbour's unruly dogs.

"It’s awful, their massive dogs can get in too and they are dangerous without muzzles, and I’ve got three kids," she said.

On the fence about who's at fault in neighbours' dispute

It is unclear who the fence belongs to and whether the neighbour was at liberty to use the wood, however, Ms Disbury commented saying it was hers.

"[The fence is] definitely mine. I bought the last lot after he burned them down the first time," Ms Disbury wrote.

She said she is awaiting a response from the police after she contacted them about the incident and there is still no word yet from neighbour Russell.
