NBA unveils new 'We cannot walk alone' shirt in honor of Dr. MLK Jr
The NBA has revealed a brand-new shirt in honor of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. NBA teams playing from January 16-20 will don the Nike performance “We cannot walk alone” warmup tee featuring Dr. King’s poignant remarks from his Aug. 28, 1963 speech: “We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back.”
The shirt is manufactured with Nike’s signature Dri-FIT technology, so it wicks away moisture while also keeping you feeling comfortable all day long. Per the league, proceeds from the sale of this shirt will go to the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tennessee.
