Musician Eddie Money dies aged 70 after battle with cancer

Musician Eddie Money known for the song Two Tickets to Paradise has died aged 70.

In a statement from the Money family given to New York Daily News, the musician, who died on Friday morning, was remembered as a “loving husband and father”.

“We cannot imagine our world without him,” the statement read.

“We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.”

The 70-year-old revealed on his reality TV series Real Money in August he had been battling Stage 4 esophageal cancer.

His family said the cancer was what caused his death.

Money also underwent heart valve surgery earlier this year and had to cancel shows in July due to pneumonia.

Among his hits included Baby Hold On, Walk On Water and The Love in Your Eyes.
