Murder arrests after man dies following assault
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found seriously injured and died a short time later.
The man, in his 60s, was discovered following a suspected assault at a house on Holly Avenue, Wallsend, North Tyneside, just before 05:00 BST, Northumbria Police said.
Officers had been called to a disturbance.
A 34-year-old man and another man, 41, are being questioned in police custody.
