Young mum dies in horrific house fire as five-year-old survives
An Adelaide community is in mourning following the death of a young mum in a house fire.
Liliane Castillo, 37, was at her home in Paralowie in Adelaide’s north on Saturday morning when it went up in flames, Nine News reports.
Firefighters smashed their way through debris to get to Ms Costello’s five-year-old son, Jayden, but she couldn’t be saved.
Ms Castillo’s husband Alex was not at home at the time of the devastating fire.
Her death has left her family and the community devastated.
“I miss you so much mummy please,” her daughter Kayla wrote on Facebook
“Rest well. No more suffering. I love you so much.”
Friend Nick Xanthopoulos told 7News Ms Castillo “had a big heart”.
“Just like Alex - they’d do anything for anyone,” he told 7News.
According to a GoFundMe page, the Castillo family also need to rebuild their home.
“Anyone who knows Alex would know that he is one of the most caring and genuine people you will ever meet,” the page reads.
“He is hardworking and would do anything for anyone, so now we would like to help him & his family in any way that we can.”
Family friend Shane Craft said he’s heartbroken for Mr Castillo.
“Our love and thoughts are with him and his family,” he told Nine News.
Members of the Paralowie music community are also throwing their support behind the family.
They are planning on performing to raise money.
