Mum and daughter's chilling note before deaths in suspected suicide pact

A mother and her daughter have been found dead at a southwest Sydney home in what appears to have been a suicide pact following a family tragedy.

There was a note on the door of the family home in Greenacre, explaining the mother and daughter would be found in a car at the back of their property.

A woman in her 50s and her daughter aged in her 20s were found with another note, explaining they could no longer go on after the death of a 24-year-old man – their son and brother – who died of post-operative complications.

The father of the family died a few years ago and the family had few relations in Australia.

The family’s dog also died with the two women who were discovered about lunchtime on Monday.

It is understood the neighbour who made the discovery knew the women and was treated for shock.
