A mother has been accused of killing her nine-year-old daughter before allegedly storing her dismembered body inside a fridge for two weeks.
Ruth Floriano, 30, has been arrested on suspicion of murder after reportedly confessing to taking the child's life as an act of "revenge" against her former partner.
According to local reports, the woman stabbed her daughter, Alany, while she was brushing her teeth, then left her daughter's body on the floor for three hours.

She allegedly dismembered the body and hid the remains in a refrigerator where Floriano’s mother-in-law is believed to have made the shocking discovery two weeks later.
Police were called to the scene and located other parts of the body before questioning the 30-year-old, from São Paulo, Brazil. The girl's mother reportedly said she did it to "take revenge” on her former partner who is not believed to be the girl's biological father.
According to some reports, the mother had searched the internet for how to cut up a body before she allegedly murdered her daughter
Local reports indicate Floriano has two other children. Floriano is currently being held by police
