A man has died after being hit by a truck in Sydney's west.

Emergency services were called about 7.30pm on Thursday after the 62-year-old was struck as he crossed a road in Warwick Farm, police said.

The driver and members of the public rendered assistance but the man died at the scene.

The driver was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

A report is being prepared for the information of the coroner.

It follows the earlier death of a motorcyclist after a crash in Sydney's northwest.

Emergency services were called to an intersection in Rouse Hill just before 5.45pm on Thursday following reports a motorcycle and a utility vehicle had collided.

The rider died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

The male utility driver was not injured and was taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
