A pair of “legend” tradies are being praised after stepping in to foil an alleged attempted armed robbery.

Jacob and Connor were working on a home in Indooroopilly, 7km west of Brisbane, on September 5 when they heard an alarm going off a few doors down.

The brave men took a closer look, and found three teenagers allegedly trying to rob the place, one of whom is seen confronting the men with a knife in shocking footage.

The tradies’ boss said they had noticed something was suspect when they approached the scene of the alleged robbery attempt, seeing a Porsche backed into the driveway and the doors to the house kicked in.

“So one of the boys, Connor, sort of reached in and pulled the keys out of the Porsche so they couldn’t take off,” boss Travis Kesson told 9 News.

Two of the alleged thieves knew the game was up and took off, while a third teen, face covered with a balaclava, threatened the tradies with a knife to try to get the car key back.

“It’s too late mate,” one of the hero tradies can be heard telling the last teenager, who also then ran off.

All three teenagers were later caught by the police, and charged with multiple offences including attempted break-in of a dwelling and attempted armed robbery.

Grateful locals took to social media to praise the brave duo.

“Well done lads,” one wrote.

“Legend tradies,” said another.

Their boss also had nothing but good words for the two men.

“They were able to avoid anyone getting hurt and help people with their property, get the property back and stop them from robbing the house,” he told 9 News.

No one has been charged in relation to the incident.
