An Ohio mom is speaking out after her 40-year-old daughter survived a fatal car crash earlier this month.
Three people were involved in the two-vehicle crash in Goshen Township on Aug. 10 around 9:09 p.m. local time that resulted in the death of a 16-year-old, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol crash report obtained by PEOPLE.
Authorities said that the teen was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox when they crossed the center line and hit the other vehicle, a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado being driven by Jacob Demaris, 27, and Sabrina Deitz, 40.
Deitz mother Virginia Sallee said in an interview with NBC affiliate WLWT that her night was "turned upside down" when she was notified of the crash on the Life 360 app, which she said her daughter "insisted we all be on."
