The victim reportedly spent several days at the friend’s house and was found in her room with fatal injuries.

The unnamed friend is acting a witness in the ongoing investigation.

The female witness told the police that Egle has been staying at the family home since April 17 and she woke up at around 7am on April 21 and found her friend dead.

It is unclear if the victim took her own life or whether someone else was responsible.

The property did not have any CCTV cameras and the victim was in the house with just her friend, according to the police.

The friend told the police that Egle was upset about a previous relationship and was acting differently as a result of the breakup.

Police spokesperson Jubert dos Santos said police were investigating whether Egle died by suicide or if there was another cause of death.

The model’s family has declined to comment on the incident.

Police chief Luana Backes, who is leading the investigation, said she will only comment on the investigation if signs of a crime have been detected.
