Missing woman found after father and son find ominous message scratched into dirt road

A missing woman was found alive after a teenager and his stepfather found an ominous message carved into a dirt road.

The cognitively impaired 19-year-old, Kathryn “Katie” Ogle, had been missing for two days as a search party desperately combed the woods in Idaho, in the US on Saturday.

Ryle Gordon, 15, and his stepfather Chris Trumbich were on a hunting trip when they saw a message etched into the dirt near their family cabin saying “HELP”.

“You could see that somebody wrote ‘Help’ in the road with a stick and mud,” Ryle told The Western Journal.

“Me and my dad kind of panicked.”

They took a picture of the message and alerted rescue workers, who sent an ambulance to the area. Rescue workers yelled “Hello” into the distance and was surprised to hear a faint reply.

Rescuers eventually found the missing woman in safety, near a small fire.
