Desperate search for 95-year-old man last seen at petrol station

Police are searching for a 95-year-old Victorian man believed to be driving across the NSW border, who was last seen re-fuelling his car at a service station in Melbourne’s south-east.

The family of elderly Toorak man Ronald McMaster are concerned for his welfare due to his advanced age.

He was last seen at a service station on Princes Highway, Nar Nar Goon on Saturday about 9am re-fueling his cream/grey 1965 Austin sedan with registration plates 987 84H, according to police.

It is believed Mr McMaster may have been spotted driving through Rosedale, in the Gippsland region, about midday on Saturday.

He was believed to be travelling to Bermagui, on the NSW south coast.

Photos of Mr McMaster and his car have been released in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his whereabouts.

The elderly man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall with a thin build and grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a red jumper over a blue shirt and grey trousers.
