Actor Milla Jovovich showed her support for her place of birth by wearing a Ukrainian-designed dress at the 28th annual amfAR gala in the south of France.
MILA JOVOVICH: It's awful. It's awful. I have family there who are listening to rockets flying over their heads. I have friends there whose apartments have been destroyed. I have friends who have been separated from their children. So yeah, it's very difficult. Piece of art. Here you go.
For me, being able to wear Ukrainian designer meant so much. Because I haven't gone anywhere since COVID. I haven't done anything. So I thought to be able to showcase Ukrainian art and made by a young person, her line is called Maison Lever. And she's so extraordinary and such incredible visionary. And I felt like it was right and proper to be able to represent one of my country women doing something that makes them happy.
