Milk recalled due to E. coli contamination

A type of organic milk has been recalled due to E.coli contamination.

Organic Milk Group is conducting the recall of the OMG Organic Milk 1 Litre with a best before date of February 4, 2019.

“Food products contaminated with E.coli may cause illness if consumed,” the recall notes reads.

E.coli is a bacterial infection that can cause a range of issues, including nausea, vomiting, fever and diarrhoea.

The product has been available for sale in Tasmania at Woolworths, IGAs, Salamanca Fresh, Hill Street Grocer and independent grocers.

Customers are being told to return the product to the store where they bought it for a full refund.
