Watch: Mike Tindall's friend James Haskell says wife Zara will likely fly out to support him on 'I'm A Celeb'
Mike Tindall's wife Zara is likely to fly out to support him during his time on I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.
The couple's friend James Haskell said Princess Anne's daughter would probably be travelling to Australia, where the new series of the hit ITV show is being filmed.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, the ex-rugby star – who is himself married to TV star Chloe Madeley – was asked by co-host Susannah Reid whether the late Queen's granddaughter would be making the trip.
Tindall's old teammate replied: "Yeah, yeah, I think she'll be out there. Hopefully!"
Haskell was also asked if the well-connected contestant will discuss life as part of the Royal Family, who have recently experienced the loss of Her Majesty and are contending with a controversial upcoming series of The Crown.
Responding to whether Tindall will be careful what he says, he said: "Yes, I think so. You always do. But Mike's quite a private guy anyway. I think he's part of one of the most famous and best families in the world."
Princess Anne's son-in-law previously revealed that he had been convinced by Haskell – who himself appeared in the 2019 series – to take part.
The pair became friends after playing rugby for England, and together launched the podcast The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.
Speaking recently on This Morning, Tindall said: "I have been asked on numerous occasions to take part. The timing was right this year and Hask did the show and he had been talking about it."
Referencing his royal wife, he added: "First and foremost, I will miss my family. I will miss my bed, too, and a nice breakfast."
