Migrants missing in croc-infested Queensland rainforest after boat sinks
A fishing boat carrying dozens of migrants has run ashore in Far North Queensland.
Local boaties reported seeing people leaving the suspected illegal vessel and running into the bush
11 men have been detained, but up to 30 remain unaccounted for in the crocodile-infested Daintree Rainforest.
In a statement, a Department of home Affairs spokesperson said their first priority was to confirm the safety and welfare of the people onboard the vessel.
