Former Biggest Loser star Michelle Bridges has revealed her split from long-term partner Steve ‘Commando’ Willis just one day after her arrest for mid-range drink-driving.

“It has been a very difficult time for me the last few weeks dealing with the break-up of my long-term relationship,” the 49-year-old told The Daily Telegraph.

“This is by no means an excuse for my behaviour but I feel the emotional turmoil I have been going through has impacted my decision making. I am extremely sorry for my actions,” she added.

Michelle and Commando split

Before their breakup, Michelle and Commando were together for seven years after meeting as coaches on the now-defunct weight loss TV show, Biggest Loser.

In 2013, the pair went public with their relationship shortly after splitting from their respective partners.

Steve left his de-facto wife, Froso, after seven years while Michelle divorced her husband of almost a decade, Bill Moore.

The former couple welcomed their first child together, son Axel, in 2015 while parenting Steve’s three kids – Brianna, Ella and Jack – from his first partner.

Michelle and Commando sparked rumours that they’d tied the knot back in October 2019 however the mum-of-one hosed down the claims, saying they were “Happy as we are”.

Michelle’s drink-driving arrest

The TV personality and personal trainer returned a positive result after being pulled over for a roadside breath test on New South Head Road in Bellevue Hill on Sunday morning.

A five-year-old child – believed to be Michelle and Steve’s son Axel – was allegedly in the Range Rover SUV at the time of the test.

She was taken to Waverley Police Station where she returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.086 and was charged with mid-range drink driving.

Michelle, from Potts Point, was bailed and will face Waverley Local Court on February 18.

“I would like to express my deep regret for breaking the law, this was a terrible mistake and an error of judgment,” she told The Daily Telegraph.

The ‘12 Week Body Transformation’ founder called her behaviour ‘inexcusable’ and said that she is ‘absolutely devastated and embarrassed’ about her actions.
