Michael Jackson's former skin doctor Arnold Klein has died, aged 70.
The medic, who treated the tragic Thriller singer in the months leading up to his death in 2009, died of natural causes on Thursday at a hospital in Palm Springs, California.
He had been admitted to the facility in a wheelchair this week after suffering severe abdominal pains, and he had also been battling neurological disorder multiple sclerosis, according to TMZ.com.
The dermatologist was a longtime friend of Jackson - he went on vacations with the star and was treated like a member of family.
In 2011, Klein was accused of fuelling Jackson's pill addiction by getting him hooked on painkiller Demerol, and he allegedly gave the pop icon more of the drugs in the days before his death, which was caused by an accidental overdose of prescription medication.
Klein also fuelled rumours he was the biological father of Jackson's son Prince in 2013 when he compared an old driving licence photo of himself to an image of the teen.
Prince addressed the question of his paternity on Twitter.com this week, acknowledging Jackson might not have been his biological father, but he was still his dad. He wrote, "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb... I was raised by my dad with my brother and sister."
Klein's other celebrity clients included Elizabeth Taylor, Cher, Dolly Parton and Goldie Hawn.
