Two men who allegedly led police on a pursuit through western Sydney have been arrested after they abandoned their car on a major motorway and fled on foot.
The men, who were in a white Mercedes, were pursued from Blacktown along the M4 to Parramatta on Wednesday morning, police say.
They allegedly left the car on the motorway near a footbridge and split up on foot while police called in PolAir and the dog squad, Inspector Ian Casha told AAP.
One man, believed to be in his late 20s, was arrested after he was cornered by half a dozen police cars in Napier Street in Parramatta and another man was arrested in a nearby street.
Investigations into the incident continue while the men assist police with inquiries.
