Men banned for life from cruise line after jumping off ship for prank video

A man has managed to get himself and his friends banned from a cruise line for life after he jumped from the 11th floor of the ship.

Nick Naydev, 27, of Washington, posted a video of himself jumping off of his room’s balcony from the Symphony of the Seas ship into the sea as it was docked in the Bahamas last week

Mr Naydev didn’t respond to requests for comment but responding to the post he wrote his feet “were actually fine” after the dive.

“It was my neck and tailbone that hurt,” he wrote.

“Could barely walk for three days and could barely sleep from the pain. I’m good now.”

It’s believed he was picked up by a small boat after the dive, brought back to the ship and then asked to leave.

Mr Naydev’s friends, Konstantin Kryachun, later claimed on Instagram the group were later all kicked off the boat too.

He told Yahoo Lifestyle Mr Naydev has jumped from similar heights before.

“We didn’t really care about the consequences with the cruise company,” he said.

“We just wanted to get a video of it and make it go viral.”

The men might have a viral hit on their hands, and some people are praising Mr Naydev.

However, there are plenty of others expressing the implications of the situation and explaining just how dangerous his exploit was.

“Dumbest thing I’ve ever seen,” one person commented.

“Did you understand before you jumped that you could easily die doing that?” another wrote.

A spokesperson for Royal Caribbean Cruises, who runs the ship Mr Naydev jumped from, labelled the incident “stupid”.

“This was stupid and reckless behaviour, and he and his companions have been banned from ever sailing with us again,” the spokesperson said.

“We are exploring legal action.”
