WATCH: Driver reverses off truck after car set to be towed away
A driver whose vehicle was in the process of being towed appears to have gone to extreme lengths to avoid being impounded.
Dashcam footage taken in Coburg, Melbourne captured the moment the determined driver reversed from the tow truck on busy Sydney Road.
The tow truck already had a station wagon and scooter on the tray, but had hoisted the front two wheels of the offending sedan off the ground to tow it behind the truck.
The driver had other ideas getting into the driver's seat to reverse backwards until the front of the car slams back to the ground.
Then, as the surprised tow truck driver approaches the car, the vehicle quickly takes off, almost colliding with another car in the process.

The parking spot the driver was in turns into a tow-away zone on week days after 4pm.
The dashcam footage, posted on Facebook by Dash Cam Owners Australia, was filmed just before 4:30pm.
