Meghan finding it 'stressful to have no voice' amid rumours of family drama
Meghan Markle is reportedly fed up with the constant rumours surrounding her relationship with royal family members.
Over the past few weeks, there has been a slew of claims about a royal rift between Meghan and the royal family, as well as issues she is having with her staff.
And now insiders reveal that the Duchess of Sussex is struggling with the fact she cannot speak out and refute the claims.
“It’s just been frustrating and stressful to have no voice,” a royal insider explains to US Weekly. “She’s always relied on her own voice to stand up for others, and for herself.”
The source continued: “So not being able to say anything is debilitating feeling. She’s always been so independent, her entire life, and that’s all been taken away from her.
“She’s always been able to clap back on social media and now she can’t.”
It comes after endless negative comments from Palace insiders about the Duchess, claiming that she’s “demanding” and “difficult” to work for.
A common royal issue
Speaking to Yahoo UK‘s The Royal Box, royal biographer Duncan Larcombe thinks Meghan needs to be careful about her new reputation.
“In royal circles you gain a reputation very quickly, it can take you decades to lose it, if you ever do,” he said.
“Prince Andrew got on a couple of private jet flights for official engagements, he’s ‘Air Miles Andy’ and he will be until his grave, even if he cycled around Britain next year on every official engagement.
“Meghan has to be careful, she cannot become the ‘diva duchess’ and the palace need to get a grip of this and nip it in the bud.”
Royal correspondent Victoria Murphy added: “It is difficult for her because she can’t speak out right now and fight back.
“This is not what they want people to be focusing on, this is all quite trivial behind the scenes and actually we should be looking at the impact they’re having with their work.
“I think it’s been blown right out of proportion.”
