McLeod's Daughters reunion confirmed
Dust off your Akubra and polish your boots because Australia’s favourite country cast are returning and fans are pumped.
McLeod’s Daughters ran its last episode in 2009 and now over a decade later, the original cast are teaming up to bring Drovers Run back into the limelight for a brief, shining moment.
The Aussie classic is returning for a Bush Christmas reunion that will feature the series’ top original cast members.
Bridie Carter, Lisa Chappell, Simmone Jade MacKinnon, Aaron Jeffery and Myles Pollard are all back in the saddle, ready to revisit their beloved characters for the one-night event.
Held in Lismore, NSW, on December 5th, the evening is sticking true to the show’s country roots, and promises a fan-friendly evening.
Hosted by Zoe Naylor, the actress who played Regan, the event will include Q&A with cast members, a revisiting of famous scenes, and limited-edition merchandise.
Though it’s keeping the country heart beating, not everyone is over the moon with the decision to host the show in far northern NSW.
Announced via an Instagram post on actor Myles Pollard’s page, a number of fans were disgruntled over the decision to host the show in such a remote location, pointing out it isn’t even in the same state the show was set in.
“Why in NSW? It was filmed in SA. The reunion should be in SA,” a disappointed fan queried.
“Too far away,” another agreed.
“If only Lismore wasn’t 13 hours away,” another bemoaned.
The reunion may seem out of left-field but the show did, in fact, host a very similar event just last year, in July 2018.
The location last year was further south in the country town of Leeton, NSW.
It’s not just the location that has gone north, either.
Ticket prices majorly hike
Last year’s event cost fans just $88, but this year the price has tripled.
The experience will set fans back over $200 for a general admission ticket in 2019.
A standard ticket will set you back a cool $227.66, and if you want to join the cast for a dinner as well as the show, it’s going to bump up to $375.66.
The limited-edition merchandise doesn’t come cheap either.
A specially designed calendar is $35, and a fan card pack of the event will cost over $40.
A four-pack enamel mug set will cost you just shy of $100, more than double standard online pricing.
We recommend you choose wisely as well, as no refunds for tickets or merchandise will be available. Even if the cast members get sick and don’t show up.
The price hike hasn’t passed unnoticed, either.
Fans have raised an eyebrow over the price, though dissenters are few and far between.

Considering the show was cancelled over a decade ago, it’s a steep price point, but it doesn’t seem to be holding fans back.
At least one of the deluxe packages has all sold out in a matter of hours, and others have limited tickets available.
The general show tickets are still available, but for how much longer we dare not speculate.
