McDonald's staffer accused of killing co-worker inside restaurant
A McDonald’s employee in the US has been arrested after allegedly shooting and killing his co-worker while on the lunch time shift.
Staff member Christopher L. Riddick, 34, allegedly confronted his colleague inside the Cuyahoga Falls restaurant in Ohio and shot him in the chest, according to local police.
Police were called to the scene at about 1.30pm.
Riddick then fled the scene but was arrested a short time later.
The victim, who hasn’t been identified, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
McDonald’s released a statement to local station Cleveland 19 News after the tragedy.

“Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our incredible team member as a result of this senseless and tragic incident,” the statement read.
“Our thoughts are with our employee’s family and loved ones at this difficult time. We are in the process of offering our employees counselling and any other support they may need at this time and are working with law enforcement in their ongoing investigation.”
Riddick has been charged with aggravated murder, though he may face additional charges from a grand jury.
