Ghislaine Maxwell's 'theory' over Epstein's death

The brother of Ghislaine Maxwell says she likely supports a theory on how Jeffrey Epstein died.

Epstein died by suicide in his New York jail cell awaiting his own sex-abuse trial in 2019.

He had connections to Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton which has led many conspiracy theorists to believe Epstein was murdered.

Ian Maxwell, Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother, told Spectator's Americano podcast, he does not buy into conspiracy theories generally however revealed possible beliefs of his sister.

“It so happens one of the conspiracy theories about my father is that he was murdered rather than committed suicide or died by accident," Mr Maxwell told the podcast.

"And I would venture to believe that she may also think that Epstein was murdered… I do happen to think my sister does think that he was killed.”

Robert Maxwell, his father, died in 1991 after going missing on his yacht. He was found dead in water with the cause of death said to be a heart attack by drowning.

Ghislaine Maxwell is now accused of playing a role in Epstein’s alleged sex crimes.

She has denied charges she groomed underage girls for Epstein. Her lawyers say the government is making her a scapegoat for alleged sex crimes committed by her onetime boyfriend and moved immediately for a judgment of acquittal after prosecutors rested Friday afternoon.

Prosecutors have used photos of Maxwell and Epstein as part of their case, alleging the pair were working closely together.

One of the photos included Maxwell giving Epstein a foot rub on his private jet.

On Friday, the court heard from Annie Farmer who alleged Maxwell and Epstein forced themselves on her when she was just 16.

Ms Farmer told jurors she accepted an invitation to the financier’s sprawling New Mexico ranch in 1996 hoping that Maxwell and Epstein would help her with academic endeavours. Instead, she said, Maxwell ended up massaging her breasts and Epstein climbed into bed without her permission.

Three others have asserted at the trial that began two weeks ago that Maxwell recruited them to give Epstein massages meant as a ruse for sexual abuse.
