Melissa went on to call it “super comfortable” and explained that it was made by Rian Difuntorum, also known as Aysha Buffet, who is making the mask to raise money for her gender reassignment surgery.

“I met @ayshabuffet when she was a contestant on my first TV gig, The Chefs’ Line. Only she wasn’t yet a she,” Melissa wrote on Instagram.

“In the past three years, Rian has grown into the most fierce, unapologetically vulnerable and incredible woman: the one she always was. But now it’s time to seal the deal. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

On Monday night, Melissa was the judge who told MasterChef: Back To Win 2020 contestant Emilia Jackson that she had won the competition.

“You’re a tough nut to crack, but what lies beneath that calm exterior is a heart of gold. Just like the food you love to cook so much, you are all class…with just a little hint of wicked spice to keep things interesting,” she later wrote on Instagram.

“There are dishes you created that I will take with me in my food memory forever, and it has been a privilege to get to know you through this insane ride. ⁣

“Hold your head high like the queen you are.”

Emilia also took to her Instagram account just after the news of her win was announced to thank everyone who has supported her along the way.

“Had you have told me that 6 years later I’d be standing here, having just done the entire crazy thing again, I would have laughed,” she said.

“What an incredible time it has been, my MasterChef. A pivotal part of my growth in my 20s and now the perfect way to begin the next decade of my life.

“How lucky am i to have had such an exciting, fun and nostalgic adventure during what has been no doubt the worst year of many peoples lives. I am eternally grateful for the experience and the opportunity.”

She went on to thank the judges, Melissa Leong, Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo and her “fierce competition” Laura Sharrad.
